Alumni Update: Brooke Ricker

Brooke taught in the English program during the 2005-2006 school year.

Hi everyone! In May I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with my master's in TESL (many thanks go to Olya, Lena, and Galya for their help with the research for my master's paper). In a few weeks I will begin my post as an English Language Fellow in Nis, Serbia. I'll be teaching writing classes at the University of Nis and conducting workshops for local langauge teachers. If anyone will be in Eastern Europe in the next year, feel free to look me up!

  1. Brooke, although we don't know each other, we should stay in touch. I attended the American Home briefly in 2002 to study Russian, and then spent 2008-09 as a Fulbright Scholar in Moscow. I'm actually thinking of pursuing a TEFL credential and heading back to Russia in the (hopefully) not so distant future to do something similar to you. Anyway, I'd love to hear about your experiences, and do look me up if you're ever in the Frankfurt, Germany, area--

  2. Hi Helen - I'd be glad to tell you about my experiences, but I'd rather not post my email address here. Would it be possible for you to look me up on Facebook?
